A boy drowned in a canal in front of his school in Phitsanulok on Tuesday evening while he was trying to retrieve a football, police said.

An eight-year-old boy drowned early on Saturday while he was swimming in an irrigation canal in Ayutthaya’s Wang Noi district hunting for coins in floating krathong.
